CIB pushes EGX up near 15,350 pts early Wednesday
EGX opens Wednesday in green territory

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Wednesday’s trading session in green territory on the back of local and non-Arab buying.

By 10:32 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index gained 130.15 points, or 0.85%, to 15,349.41 points.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) rose 2.05% to EGP 78 at a turnover of EGP 9.6 million.

The small- and medium-cap EGX70 index edged up 0.25% to 861.12 points, while the broader EGX100 index added 0.59% to 2,059 points.

Likewise, the equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.40% to 2,702 points.

Trading volume stood at about 67.3 million shares exchanged through 2,500 transactions at a turnover of EGP 918.4 million.

Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 768.3 million, while foreign and Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 639.7 million and EGP 128.5 million, respectively.
